Sarah and John’s wedding day was incredibly special, not only because of the beautiful locations and unforgettable moments, but because Sarah is Myke’s sister-in-law. That meant Focus Video had the unique privilege of being both a vendor and a guest, capturing the day while also celebrating alongside family.

The morning began at The Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in downtown Sacramento, where Sarah and her closest friends got ready surrounded by excitement, laughter, and anticipation. The energy in the room was calm, joyful, and full of love as final touches came together.

From there, the celebration moved to The Firehouse for both the ceremony and reception. Set within the heart of Old Sacramento, the venue provided a warm, romantic atmosphere for Sarah and John to exchange vows in front of the people who matter most.

This wedding was also where we first met Events by Courtney Ann, whose coordination and attention to detail helped everything flow seamlessly throughout the day.

As the evening unfolded, guests filled the dance floor, speeches brought laughter and tears, and the energy continued to build. Then came a moment no one expected. During Sarah and John’s first dance, fireworks from the minor league baseball stadium across the Sacramento River lit up the sky, creating a breathtaking and perfectly timed backdrop.

It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments that felt almost unreal.
