This Lake Tahoe family photography session was centered around honoring Crista’s father and preserving memories with the people who mean the most to him. Milestone birthdays are powerful moments in a family’s story, and this 85th birthday brought generations together in one place.

We met in Tahoe City, where the elevated lakefront views provided a stunning backdrop of blue water, distant mountain ridgelines, and open sky. The family wanted a series of posed portraits that felt timeless and intentional, while still reflecting their natural connections with one another.

We began with large group portraits that included the entire family, then worked through smaller groupings such as immediate families, couples, siblings, grandparents with grandchildren, and individual portraits with Crista’s father. This approach ensured that every meaningful relationship was documented during the session.

Throughout the shoot, there was a steady flow of laughter, hugs, and quiet moments between family members. These interactions added warmth and depth to the posed portraits, creating images that feel both polished and emotionally genuine.
