Brenda and Alexander’s winter elopement at Emerald Bay State Park in Lake Tahoe was the definition of an intimate adventure. In partnership with Simply Eloped, their day was thoughtfully planned to highlight one of the most iconic and breathtaking locations in the Tahoe region.
On a cold February afternoon with fresh snow piled several feet high, the journey to their ceremony spot became part of the experience. With the parking lot buried under snow, a short hike down to the overlook led to a stunning view of Emerald Bay and Fannette Island resting peacefully in the blue water below. The stillness of the winter landscape created a quiet, sacred atmosphere for their vows.

Surrounded by towering pines, snow covered ground, and sweeping lake views, Brenda and Alexander shared a heartfelt ceremony focused entirely on their connection. After exchanging vows, we explored the area for romantic couples portraits that showcased the dramatic beauty of Lake Tahoe in winter. To make the moment even more personal, our photographer had the honor of signing as the official witness.
Their elopement proves that weddings do not have to be large to be meaningful. Sometimes the most powerful celebrations happen in the simplest moments, in extraordinary places.
