Focus Video is a Sacramento-based photography and videography company providing professional photo and video services for weddings, events, portraits, and live production throughout Northern California. We create cinematic visuals, capture real moments, and deliver timeless storytelling that feels natural, honest, and meaningful.
Our studio was built on the belief that great photo and video work should feel effortless, not forced, and should reflect who you truly are.
Our Story
Focus Video was founded in 2018 after Myke Clements relocated from Los Angeles to Sacramento and began looking for a creative side business to generate additional income. Having grown up as a pastor’s son in a small church environment, Myke was surrounded by music, live events, and media production from an early age.
Church ministry became the foundation for learning video production, live sound, camera operation, and editing. After years of serving in various church media teams, Myke decided to turn his skills and love for storytelling into a small video production company focused on helping small businesses with marketing content.
In 2020, that vision shifted. Rather than creating videos to sell products, the heart of Focus Video became creating videos that are the product. Weddings became a natural fit. The emotion, joy, anticipation, and human connection found in weddings reignited a deep passion for storytelling. From there, Focus Video organically expanded into event coverage, portrait photography, and live production.
In 2023, after being laid off from a construction job, Focus Video became a full-time pursuit. That transition allowed the company to grow into a balanced creative business serving weddings, corporate clients, organizations, and families under one umbrella.
Experience & Creative Background
Myke has been editing video since 2004, beginning at the age of fifteen while serving in his father’s church in Phoenix. Over the years, he has produced sermon bumpers, promotional videos, commercials, music content, and live productions.
In 2011, while working at Nations Church in Los Angeles, Myke further developed his skills in audio mixing, motion graphics, multi-camera production, and storytelling. This diverse background allows Focus Video to confidently handle a wide range of creative projects with professionalism and consistency.

We love the atmosphere of weddings. While wedding days are long, fast paced, and filled with moving parts, there is nothing quite like the energy of capturing meaningful moments as they unfold.
From the excitement of getting ready, to emotional ceremonies, to high energy receptions, being in the middle of that environment and turning those moments into something tangible is incredibly fulfilling. Seeing a bride look at an image or film and say, “Wow, that looks amazing,” never gets old.

A Little More Personal
Myke, the owner and creative behind Focus Video, is married to his wife Allison and is the proud father of two daughters, OJ and MJ.
Outside of work, he loves Star Wars (including the novels), playing guitar, reading science fiction, and building LEGO sets.
